Pam finally did it. Her house is officially the best looking in the neighborhood.

In only one short weekend, her house went from Blah, to Beautiful!

Pam never quite realized the full potential of her (former!) cookie-cutter home. She had builder-grade materials installed pretty much throughout her home exterior.

She started by adding some perennial grasses on the perimeter of her property, which she knew would grow quickly enough to make an impact on curb appeal.

She stained her front door to give a richer look than the standard old beige.

Pam had two sleek looking planter pots in storage, which just needed a little cleaning and love – and added some fresh new reddish-foliage to match her newly stained door. A third smaller planter was filled with a cheaper fern from the local market, which added some additional charm to the front porch.

The finishing touch?

She added new transitional style outdoor lighting, which took about 25 minutes total to unscrew the existing fixtures and reconnect the black and white wiring.

Pam decided to go with contemporary style decorative magnetic garage door hardware accents. The new style garage door hardware was the finishing touch she’d been missing. It complemented her new lighting, and house numbers.

Pam and her husband have already gotten several complements from neighbors, and others walking by.
